Fall 2024 Teams . . . . . Division & Tournament Champs, League Leaders

FYI~ When your team has no subs, your manager will contact me to capture your team picture- sometimes teams are not all together until the last week! If a situation arises, I can always photo shop in a missing guy:) sorry if no picture of your team-It is up to your manager, I tried! Well, there were 20 teams this season and all teams got their captured moment except ONE- sorry SPURS- your manager never moved forward to have me take it! Yes, he did not have players throughout the season although I reminded him several times I could photo shop anyone in- hey! check out THUNDER- their pic was taken the last game and they won a tie for 1st place- yes, the sub was included and the player was photo shopped in! imagine being on a team and not having the "kodak moment" of that! :( So- don't leave it up to your manager- join together as a TEAM and ask me to take the team pic- it is that easy! .... How many remember the buffalo roaming around near our Buffalo Glen Softball fields? This guy reminded me of you- tongue out while batting :)) I am always here for you all- I am always happy to answer your questions regarding our league. The Awesome D4 Teams Fall 2024 . Buffalo Glen Fields

This past season was quite interesting- most of the 20 teams stayed fairly close in their games - as a result, 3 teams tied for first! I'm not sure when that has happened before! Cheers to Thunder, Rockets, and Raptors for all completing the season as Rec D4 champs! The tournament games began ... The Raptors and Thunder lost in their fight for D4 tournament champs. Interestingly, Grizzlies, who, considering the 3 way tie for 1st, came in "4th" faced the #1 Rockets.... If you were at the final game, Monday, December 9th- you would have seen a great, competitive game! In the beginning, the Rockets sure did not have their high kicks going but in the end, WOW! they came out dancing ahead!! 14-13!
Another element that was interesting: both Thunder & Rockets did very well considering- each team manager was brand new to managing in rec D4. Thunder's, Bob Defelice, had never managed before. He did have a great guy, who has been a D4 manager, Chuck Burgett, help select Thunder's team in the draft.
The same scenario was played with Jim Holloway- Jim has been a winning manager in rec D3 over the years. However, he never imagined, being a first time manager in D4 out of the gate! He also had a helper, Dave Barnes, help with drafting Rockets- Jim was cruising:)
Mark Olson has been a manager in rec D4 for many seasons. Toward the end of Fall season Raptors won 10 straight games in a row! Congrats again to the managers, and the players! Very cool!

FALL 2024 LEAGUE LEADERS! their Very Own Softball Cards!

I learned that the players just love receiving these personalized cards that feature their current season, league leader stats and a cool picture of them! Cards are presented in a plastic sleeve- just like all collectible cards are saved! As some have shared- rather have this cool card than hang a framed certificate- in the garage- where my wife wishes I put it:)))
  • NEW this season is the FUZZY SLIPPER AWARD! There are some players who are so good they pose a threat I guess to opposing teams- well, guys, get your team's defense fired up rather than walk these players! None of us are under contract, and none are getting a bonus:)) Besides, I have seen these IW's numerous times and the result was still not positive for a win:) All of us are here to play this kid's game of softball for the fun of it!
WOW! Look what happened when AI entered the softball jersey world!! .... colorful, animated.... wonder who they referenced for the lepracaun image?? :))
