The Winter Season was a very cool, yes, chilly season, more than normal, but all of you stayed pretty hot! Teams played quite well! Players batted so well it was the 1st time I have seen so many ties for the league leaders over the past 3 years Nick and I have been presenting awards to them! 
The Summer season will soon be upon us- No bat warmer needed but lots of hydration will be!! Hydrate!!.. use electrolytes if you choose, to maintain your self- feel dizzy, weak? Seek shade, drink lots of cool, clear, water- the water our groundskeepers place in the coolers is quite good, filtered water! I am thinking the Summer will be a scorcher so be ready!
Winter 2026 presented some game changes. In fact, Thursday, January 15th games were cancelled according to the excessive winds! On Field 1, according to wind direction, it may have implicated a outta the park hit but after the Pacers player was hit from a wind driven ball, it put the decision to cancel in place- we are playing in REC softball, not for a bonus, or under contract! The 3rd games of the season, Monday, January 19th, were delayed due to upcoming cold/freeze warnings.... Monday, February 2nd games were cancelled BUTTT AT 12:30 MAKE UP GAMES FROM JANUARY 15TH: SPURS/PELICANS, WIZARDS/SUNS, NUGGETS/MAVERICKS WERE PLAYED @12:30! One morning the early games faced even short sleety moments however, they still payed out the games!!The winter kept rearing up it's ugly head as Monday, February 23rd games were cancelled! Indeed! As John Raines mentioned to me- this really has been the coldest, multiple weeks of coldness remembered! Then John posed for me, clean shaven, once Spring emerged:) Indeed- it has been a long winter for us in the "sunshine state" - at least no shoveling snow!! NETS TOOK THE DIVISION - A GREAT TEAM THAT TRULY PLAYED AS A TEAM WITH SUPPORT & POSITIVITY!
IT CAME DOWN TO THE FINAL GAME OF THE SEASON- NETS ENDURED MOVING THRU THE BRACKET GAMES TO TAKE IT ALL!

OF COURSE IT HELPS TO SECURE THOSE WINS WHEN YOU HAVE THE STAR LEAGUE LEADERS ON THE TEAM... ART ANTONE HIGHEST BATTING AVERAGE .788 AND BRUCE HARLAN, NETS MANAGER, BEST PITCHER! 15 WINS/4LOSSES,128 INNINGS!.... And while we are on the subject of league leaders....congrats to all this season's stellar players!
