There were four/ 5 inning games. At the finish of the first games I gathered some of the group up and captured them at home plate! Congrats on successfully batting the 16" Clincher ball! All players signed the Clincher balls- great memories for a great cause!
Chicagoan, Irv Porter, captured most of the batters at home plate. Irv, now a Villager & member of Honor Flight, is a 16" Clincher Hall of Fame Inductee, and former sports writer. Another Chicagoan, Ed Chibe saw our event featured in the museum's newsletter. He and his wife winter here and came to the event. The word is out about this cool place where we live! Again- Nick and I thank Rich Schmucker for purchasing this year's Clincher softballs and donating them to our event! ... Rich has played in D4 previously and played last year In the Clincher fundraiser- he and wife, Melanie, are great giving souls!
