FALL 2024 SEASON . ACTION SHOTS . HIGHLIGHTS

The best is yet to come!! I hope all enjoyed the break! Soon you will see action shots and articles featuring games on this page... Your team pictures will be posted on the Fall 2024 team page along with end of season pictures of Division Champs, Tournament Champs, and League Leaders for this season.... I look forward to this new season and welcome the new managers to the league- Joe Grossman, Cavaliers- which was an old team managed by Mike Thurik. Mike sadly passed away. His wife, Carol, had asked that the Cavaliers team name be retired- They were from Poland Ohio originally, outside of Youngstown. December, 2023, Carol accepted Mike's awards into the first rec D4 Hall of Fame. Joe, has been in the D4 league since Summer 2018. He has been president, vice president, and board member of rec D4. Stepping down from the board, this season he decided to try his hand at managing a team once again. He had managed for the Suns team. It was mentioned to bring back the Cavaliers team name. Carol gave the Ok- good luck to Joe and his new Cavalier's team! I'm sure Mike will be cheering you all on! Bob Defelice thought about managing in previous seasons but this Fall threw his hat into the league. He took Terry Penrod's Thunder team name. Bob has been playing in D4 since Fall 2018, excluding summers- He was a ferry boat captain after he retired from his "real job" with Hewlett- Packard! Now retired, from that cool job, he decided to take on managing a team- Good luck to he and the Thunder team!

Jim Holloway will be taking on the Rockets namesake. Jim is from D3. He managed 28 seasons with 305 wins/225 losses, 1 tie. Outside of his manager's stats, I don't know much about Jim, only that he is a fun guy! We have shared fun conversations at the end of last season! Good luck to all the Rockets- wonder how high they kick :)) Bob Restivo is the newest player to manage in rec D4. He has only played 2 seasons; Summer 2022 and Winter 2024. I don't know anything much at all about him other than he played on the Bulls team both seasons.... He is now the Bulls team manager! :) and, he can still wear his Bulls jersey:) He's bullish on winning!! Good luck to Bob and his team!!
Arty Hines has been a Grizzlies manager in Summer and Winter 2023. This season he stepped up to manage the Grizzlies as the previous manager, John Calise, faced a knee replacement. John will remain on the side lines coaching bases and working together with Arty to attain a winning team!
