THE TAR HEELS MANAGER, DEAN HOOKER, SHARED HIS FISHING ADVENTURE REWARD HE WENT ON BEFORE THE SEASON BEGAN... IT WAS SUCH AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE I HAD TO EXPOUND ON IT WITH A SOFTBALL TOUCH:)AND THE KIND OF FUN WE HAVE!! CLICK ON PICS TO ENLARGE.

Wear protective gear to keep your body in good condition playing this boyz game:)) Need some 1st aid? ... band aids, ice packs? At the concession stand you will find these needed things.... hopefully, you will not need them!!
Our fields supply a great source of filtered water at the field! BUTTT remember, you need to hydrate NIGHT BEFORE the games as well!
I offer medical cards for all- just in case something happens- we never know... The card lists medical issues, prescriptions, allergies & placed in a plastic sleeve- the size of a baseball card:) Players attach to their bags ... $5.00 each-- portions got to Honor Flight fundraiser in November.... stay safe!

NEWBIE TIPS . . .

Pictured is a great piece to use for your muscles- massage guns offer a select attachment of heads, multiple speeds, some with heat options.... they work! Save your gluts & muscles you haven't used so much and continue playing through the season!
STRETCH! Up against the fence, on the ground, or find some flex bands and keep up with moving before, during, after games!I learned about Flex Bands years ago when I designed the logo for the 1st company in the US- Jump Stretch! Dick Hartzell from Youngstown Ohio came up with this simple, great solution to keep the muscles in gear! ....
Unsure of a play, a rule, a call? First off, it is up to your manager to consult with the umpires. But hey! No one is under contract, or getting a bonus- play ball and have FUN in these last extra innings of our lives:))

Sadly, Celtics manager, Don Barry- awesome D4 manager, 2025 D4 Hall of Famer and wonderful soul was recently drafted, August 20th ... His funeral home gathering is Friday, September 4th, noon-2, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, 3975 Wedgewood Lane ... 
Monday, September 7th, 8AM, a gathering at Buffalo Glen will honor him before the start of the Fall season... I was informed Sunday, August 30th another wonderful soul has passed- Jack McGroarty... OUR PRAYERS AND PEACE BE WITH ALL FAMILY & FRIENDS

It is an awesome place we live in now- the mixture of interesting souls surrounds us! I am very grateful you share your previous life chapters with me! In turn, I hook you up with our writers from the local paper; JT Wilcox and Jammel Cutler.... seen here left, JT talks with Roger Flickinger who will be turning 88 this summer- He is still so hot a player, he hit a grand slam this past Winter season! bottom right, JT and Tom Osborne- Tom shared with me his CHICAGO CUBS WORLD SERIES ring he was given when they won in 2016- he worked for the CUBS and all received this souvenir:) I was lucky to have worn it around the softball field one game day!
