Discover Military History
I have always been on a search to understand the history of war- what, why, who, began this ... Along the way I began learning about the strong, unselfish souls who tried with all their might to go against the evil doers of the world. My writings I share offer fresh perspectives and learning about our military history and our species, humanity. I lived in the Vietnam era, learned from higher ups the deception and then taught about that war's history at a college. Seen above... one of the speaker's at a seminar I attended on the Enigma- Hitler's secret coding devices- broken by women at Bletchley Park England ! Lots of interesting pictures to come! Celebrate Vets Playing Softball!
Life is made up of countless small moments that often go unnoticed. From a peaceful sunrise to a chat with a friend, each moment adds value to our lives. I began interviewing vets who belonged to an American Legion Post on Tybee Island Georgia. I had done their website for over a decade. Vets began opening up to me about their life path- down some pretty rocky roads! NO small moments! All shared so much- Now I share them with you. If you would like to be included in this fine platoon of brave souls, let me know.... let all know the reality of what it is to be a vet and perhaps it will be better understood the values veterans have! In addition, if you were a 1st responder, it is open to you as well- you are our boots on the ground stateside!
Recognizing your accomplishments, no matter how small, is crucial for maintaining motivation and self-esteem. Each milestone reflects your hard work and perseverance- especially when you are a vet- even a first responder! I was blessed to have gotten involved with our softball league's Veterans Tournament in 2020! I was honored to throw out the 1st pitch in 2022! I was asked to organize our D4 family vets tournaments in 2023 & 2024- mission accomplished! Our CLINCHER fundraiser for Honor Flight was a perfect way to continue supporting our vets! From old battlefields of the past to these new battlefields armed with a bat & softball could not be any better way!... You are champions ALL!
